Description

Here we are doing the same pattern as the intro, and all of these lessons will basically be the same pattern. We will be moving these positions though, and will play them in several ways.

In this we're playing the 1st, and 3rd string at the same time. Play the 3rd string with the pick, and use the middle finger to pull up on the 1st string.

There's more on how to play it in this video, and I also mentioned that steel guitar players call this a squeeze lick. You're pushing down with the pick, as you pull up with the middle finger.

You can mute the strings with your palm after you play them, or let them keep ringing. However, I would learn the concept first, before you try the palm muting.
