Description
The last time you hear the hook of the song is just before the second pre-chorus. During that section, the guitar switches to a filter sweeping effect that creates a nice change for this section. I am using a wah with a synth type function to create this sound.
The progression is the same as the verse for this section, but you will change up the pulse just slightly with your effects.
Now with the effect on, you will come in on the & of 3 and the downbeat of 4. This is recreating the sound of a filter knob being turned, using a foot pedal to move the filter in time. You can use a wah if you want as well for a similar idea.
You don't have to use this sound to play through this section to play a long, but if you have something lying around that can emulate that sound I encourage you to try.
