No Reflection

Description

"No Reflection" features two guitars, playing a variety of tones and sounds throughout most of the song. At the end of the track, we will bring in a third guitar to play the guitar solo.

Guitar #1 is our main guitar, using a PRS with dual humbuckers to get the heavy sounds. This is our main guitar playing throughout the song, and we will also use this guitar to play with a synth style filter before our second pre-chorus. We will using this guitar, with the following tones for the following sections;

Guitar #1:
- Bridge Postion
- Dual Recitifer Distortion w/ Gain at 60%, through a 4x12 cab
(intentionally overly processed sound)
- Tone Knob dialed halfway back

For Filter Sound:
- Bridge Position
- Plexi Style Distortion w/ Gain at 40%
- Synth Wah Pedal, Pedal played in rhythm to emulate filter effect with your foot

Guitar #2 is our second electric. I am using a Gibson ES335 for the use of the dual humbuckers. The tone settings are the same for this guitar, as it's mainly just doubling Guitar #1 several times throughout the track. The doubling is an important part of this song, and we will also use Guitar #2 in other places in the song playing it's own parts as well. These include the intro, and bridge.

Guitar #3 comes in only for the guitar solo, and I will using the PRS for this with a different tone, along with some reverb and some tape style delay. When this guitar comes in, I will be using the following settings.

- Bridge Position
- JCM800 - 4x12 Cab: Gain @ 80%
- Medium Room Reverb, Short Decay, Mix @ 15%
- Tape Delay @ 8th Notes, Oscillating effect at the end, Mix @ 40%

Both guitars have Elixir 11's on them to for a nice heavy tone, and I am using a small medium/thick pick to really dig into the strings.
