Description
Next we are going to learn how to play the guitar parts you hear in the two verses of the song. Each first is 8 bars in length, and while the chords are the same for each the guitar part varies just slightly.
Both verses are eight bars long. You will play four bars of E5 using the same rhythmic motif as our last lesson, only with some palm muting to bring the dynamics down.
For the last part, you will play a steady eighth note rhythm from G, to F#, to two bars of E to get out of the verse.
During the first four bars of the second verse you simply play a steady eighth note groove without the breaks like you did in the first verse. Once you switch to G and F#, you then make those power chords instead and then return to playing the same rhythm on E5 that you did for the first half.
