Description
In general the best time to put your capo on the guitar is after you tune. Place it directly behind the fret so it applies pressure to all the string equally. If the strings are bent or pulled sharp your capo will make your guitar out of tune! Sometimes a slight or micro retuning will be order. Some capos pull the bass strings sharper. Some capos allow for an adjustment in tension so you can make the pressure just right without pulling the strings out of tune.
