Description
In this lesson we'll look at the last 4 measures of our 12 bar blues. This will be measures 9-12. We'll also add a final E7 chord to the end to give our arrangement a solid finish.
This time we've start with a B7 chord played in quarter notes for 1 measure. Then, we'll switch to an A7 chord for 1 measure. Next we have a turnaround measure. We have a series of 3 moveable shapes. You can play all 3 strings of the shapes, or 2 strings. Or even just one string! The final measure is part of a E chord, followed by 3 notes from the scale, then a B7 chord. So, here in the final measure we really get a chance to use our new skills of switching between rhythm and lead playing! Repeat these 4 measures over & again to get good practice at switching between rhythm & lead playing.
