Description

I’m using a semi-hollowbody style guitar for this song, but any electric guitar is suitable. For the rhythm riff, I’ve selected the bridge pickup for a bright, clear tone. For the lead guitar, I’ve switched to the neck pickup for a rounder, warmer sound.

A Fender tube amp is the best choice to replicate the tones heard in this tune. Dial in a clean, right on the edge of breakup, sound - for example, set the Preamp Gain to 40%, Bass to 45%, Mids to 55%, Treble to 60%, and Presence to 60%.

Guitar 2 kicks in a treble booster for more gain and sustain while playing the lead licks. Add some reverb to both guitars for depth.

I’m using regular light gauge strings that are 10-46 along with a heavy pick to dig right in.
