Description

I’m using a Stratocaster guitar for this song, but any electric guitar is suitable. I’ve selected the bridge pickup for a bright, clear tone.

A Fender tube amp is the best choice to replicate the tones heard in this tune. Dial in a clean - right on the edge of breakup - sound - for example, set the Preamp Gain to 45%, Bass to 50%, Mids to 55%, Treble to 60%, and Presence to 60%.

For the chorus and solo sections, kick in a distortion or fuzz pedal for a thick crunch sound. For the solo, a chorus effect is used to add extra dimension to the sound. Add a touch of reverb for depth.

I’m using regular light gauge strings that are 10-46 along with a heavy pick to dig right in. That said, if you are able to keep a guitar in this tuning, you might want to experiment with a slightly heavier string gage.
