Description

I’m using a Stratocaster for this song, but any electric guitar is suitable. I’ve selected the bridge pickup for Guitar 1 to get a bright, crisp tone. For the solo, I switched over to the neck pickup for a rounder sound to give some contrast.

A Fender tube amp is the best choice to replicate the electric tone in this tune. Dial in a clean - right on the edge of breakup - sound - for example, set the Preamp Gain to 45%, Bass to 50%, Mids to 55%, Treble to 60%, and Presence to 65%. For Guitar 2, add a tube screamer for a more overdriven sound for the solo.

Add reverb to all guitars for depth.

Since we’re in standard tuning, I’m using regular light gauge strings that are 10-46 along with a heavy pick.
