Description

You can almost feel the rails rocking under your feet in the toe tapping rhythm of the classic song we'll be playing today, "Wabash Cannonball". The song starts with a brief visit to the key of E major, then quickly modulates to the key of D Major and stays there for the first verse and chorus. We modulate again, back to the key of E Major for the rest of the song. We're playing in cut time at about 200 BPM!

Three chords are used in each key, using a I IV V I progression that repeats throughout the entire song. A quick boom chuck strum, our awesome GT backing tracks and you are right in the middle of playing great traditional song, which belongs in the repertoire of virtually every musician.

This is an easy and fun song to play! this would be a fantastic jam song to play with friends around the camp fire or in the living room. But you will love playing it along with our GT backing tracks! So, jamming with your friends, or jamming with us here at GT, it's a great song. All aboard and lets get started!
