Description

The second chorus is 12 bars long and gets off to the same start as the first chorus, and stays the same for the first 2 lines then again departs via a string of dominant 7th chords.

We see C#7 for the first time, acting as a V7 chord in relationship to the F#7. That's 3 different C# chords in one song! We then get a harmonically pure end to the chorus, which is so strong it could be mistaken for the end of the song, but again we land on the V chord which begs one more return to the tonic!
