If you still don't know what I'm talking about, there's an example of 2-string sliding somewhere in the middle of Eugene's Trick Bag.
Slides
I'm not talking about slide guitar or steel slides at all. I'm talking about 2-string sliding patterns with your fretting fingers. Guitarists like Vai, Satch, Petrucci and countless others use this technique. I'd argue it's less common than standard sweeping arpeggios and other common guitar techniques, but it sounds great. I already know several slide patterns, but I was wondering if anyone had some neat slides (minors, majors, etc) they wanted to contribute?

Sorry dude, I don't know any, but I checked out your website. "Finger Cruncher's" pretty sweet, man. I like those trills near the beginning. Are you tapping those out? I like the whole funk vibe. Woah dude, staggering's really cool. It's got a REALLY heavy Hendrix feel to it. I like.

Hey, thanks for the comments Jolly. Yeah, the 'trill' stuff is actually pick-tapping (i.e. Satch style). Pick tapping is very economic because you don't have to pivot back and forth between finger tapping and picking. Also, I think pick tapping is easy and allows one to tap faster than finger tapping. That's just my opinion though. Anyway, you could certainly say I'm into the whole 'funk' type of thing. :) My mission is to blend the guitar stylings of artists like SRV, Hendrix, Satriani, and others with the sounds of 70's funk jams, blues, and classic rock.

Well mission accomplished dude. I actually prefer to finger tap, but I never use picks for anything, so I guess that's why.

If you mean those slides just before the octave parts in crossroads, then I think I've got you right.
Some people are gonna kick me for this but I'll say it anyway :p ...... Kirk Hammett's second solo from "Sanitarium" , just before the end of it.
