51 year old newbie from the Netherlands

Hello, I'm John from the Netherlands.


I tried to learn to play guitar in the early 90's but instead of practicing I rather went to a bar or had fun with friends. So I gave up.


Now I'm 51 and I think the time is right to try again. So last week I bought myself a new Ibanez, picks, a tuner and an amp.


I started with Youtube to learn some basic chords (A,D and C) and today I got a subscription for Guitartricks.


Working my way through the 1st chapter now and hoping to learn to play some rock and metal someday.

Good luck John. Many of us here share a similar story. We're never to old to learn!
