O.K, firstly you should seriously think about taking lessons. But if you are prepared to do it your self i hope that i can help.

Tab is a simple way of reading music for guitar, the bottom string is the thickest on your guitar and the one at the top is the thinnest string.

Thinnest |--------------|--------------|---------------|
|--------------|--------------|---------------|
|--------------|--------------|---------------|
|--------------|--------------|---------------|
|--------------|--------------|---------------|
Thickest |--------------|--------------|---------------|

anyway after you can understand that you can play most tabs.

Reading tabs is really easy
Say you're playing this:

e---------------------
b-10-10-12-10-10-12-8-
g----------------------9-9-

The numbers represent which fret you're playing and they go in left to right order (I'm sure you could've figured that out).
And when you're playing chords on it, it would look like this:

e--------------------------
b-2------------------------
g-2------------------------
d-2------------------------
(that's an A chord)
the numbers just go directly underneath each other.
If you still have a lot of trouble after a while it'd probably be best to take lessons. Hope that helped :)
