I'm 73 yrs old and I've been working on the second solo far too long. My fingers don't move like they used too.

Referencing the 3rd line of tabs on the solo (the 12 17/12 14 ... 12 16/12 14 you only seem to keep your index finger on the 12th fret and play the rest freely.

I have trouble with that as I need to keep two of my fingers stationary (index on 12 & middle on 14). It just works for me.

I know it doesn't matter that I play for myself but I was just wondering if the technique you used is more advantageous then the way I described my playing style.

Thanks for your patience.

Jim

Hi Jim thanks for the question!

Keep doing it the way it works for you! There's no real advantage to the way I do it - other than it makes it easier for me. Everybody is different, so whatever makes sense to get the job done is encouraged.

Cheers!
