Hi Mike,

In the song 'Wild Horses' during the Chorus section it goes from 2 beats of G to 2 beats of F.

The song is in G so the F would be F diminished. And the sheet music has F#. However in the video you play F natural barre chord.

What's up?

Thank you.

With kind regards,

John

Hi John - yes, if we stayed in G major, you'd expect that chord to be F#dim to fit into the key.

But sometimes, songs will modulate into different key signatures, as is the case here. In this song, we move to C major for the chorus (and the solo section). So now, the analysis for each chord of the chorus, in the key of C is - Am (vi), C (I), G(V), F(IV) C(I).

Many songs will modulate keys from section to section, or even borrow chords from a different key within a section (modal interchange). It keeps things interesting!

Make sense?[br]Mike
