Hi Hembe,
I'm a big fan of Jim Croce. I think his acoustic guitar playing is incredibly interesting, complex and melodic!
Check out this song tutorial for Jim Croce's "I Got A Name" https://www.guitartricks.com/tutorial.php?input=1309

I'd have to enthusiastically endorse that Billy. Incredibly under-rated in terms of popularity even during his time. I was stunned at the complexity of his compositions and skill as a guitar player when checking them out from my noobie-player perspective earlier last year. Always loved his material, and his voice.

What genre and era are you looking for inclined towards Hembe? Solo with single guitar or? Instrumental only or? Acoustic as a brief covers a lot of territory.
Obviously influenced heavily by them being of my youth, in the popular music genre of soft rock, pretty much everything by "America" rates highly with me. "Neil Young" too of course. But then, in an entirely different style there is Ottmar Liebert who although a legend is far lesser known in popular music culture. Tommy Emmanuel albums. Kotaro Oshio and so many others if you like finger style to name but a few.
If you’re interested in the singer/songwriter genre...
Joni Mitchell.
Guy Clarke.
Townes Van Zandt.
Steve Goodman.
Shuggie Otis (Psychedelic)
Beach Fossils (Indie)
Alvvays (Indie)
Vashti Bunyan (Folk)
Best Coast (Indie/Surf Rock)
Tame Impala (Psychedelic Rock)
Mac Demarco (Psychedelic Rock)
Part Time (Synth Pop)
Well I have always liked 30 days in the hole By Humble Pie And other Humble Pie songs. There is a version of 30 days in the hole done to a Mr Big copy of the song. I dont like the version by Mr Big or like any songs by the band but learnd the parts to play along to Humble Pie when I listen to the Humble Pie Album I like. I had asked for a Humble Pie song but now I can play it.
