I'm reading forums on a few sights and it seems posters have guitars and amps made 40 to 50 years ago and say how fantastic they are. Are they being nostalgic, or are old guitars and amps better than new? I think not.

I think this is more based on the guitars comfort level and what he/she is used to. If it's not broken don't fix it- sort of thing.
