Mike on the intro of the song how would you count it off to get started? The guitar player could count it off loud an start playing the intro lick but how do you count it off to keep the band in time.

The intro lick lasts a total of four bars - and starts on the second beat of the first of those bars. You could have your drummer count off one or two full bars before you come in.

The tricky part is that the lick comes in on 2 instead of 1. So if you had your drummer click his sticks for one bar out front to start the song, he would click 5 times - then you would start the lick.
