Mike,
How come you didn't do a guitar lesson in Open G, which is how Keith plays the song? The main rhythm guitar is in Open G, but you didn't include it? Just curious. Thanks, -Jared

See lesson 2 of the tutorial here; https://www.guitartricks.com/lesson.php?input=24135&s_id=1976

This song has been on my 'to-do' list for some time...guess there's no excuse to wait any longer... :)

Hey Jared! For such a big tutorial (with lots of lessons and 3 guitar layers), we decided to keep things a bit simpler and teach all the parts in standard tuning.

At first, we strongly considered teaching it in open G. But in the end, we felt the differences between playing it in open G vs. standard tuning were subtle.

However, once you've dug into the standard tuning version, feel free to experiment with the chord voicings and adapt the rhythm parts into the open G tuning if you so desire!

Keep rockin'!

Mike,
Thanks for the reply. Sounds good. I'm just somewhat of a purist and like to learn songs in their original keys and tunings. Keep up the great work!
