I've never played the Rogue RG-624, it looks like a standard acoustic guitar. Obviously, good guitars will be easier to learn on than bad ones. Most guitars are playable, the only bad one I've encountered recently was one that had frets which were not rounded off on the edges. Very uncomfortable to play. It was a very cheap model so if you can only afford under $100, buyer beware. There are exceptions and it's possible you might stumble on a bargain. But in general, figure about $250 to $300 to start for a decent acoustic guitar.

Spend at least a couple hundred dollars.

Why? Materials.

You can't get a decent set of tuners for a guitar for 90 bucks....imagine a whole guitar.

Would it work? Possibly.

Save a few more paychecks and get something the next step up. Going to up a little more can get you a much better guitar. I review the Fender T-Bucket here and I really like the guitar and it's a great value....and looks cool. Under $300 and even a better deal if you look around.

To be clear, I'm not pushing towards that but moreover, save a little more and look around for a good deal that hits the sweet spot between cost and playability.
