I have recently purchased a Pedal Box(Boss BCB6) containing the following units
Parameters, Chorus, Overdrive, Compression Sustainer,Superphaser.
It has been hooked up to my Fender Superchamp x2 amp which I am trying to play using my Fender Stratcaster. The sound that I get is too complex.
Does anyone have an approach as to how to go about separating sounds using the controls to get simple sound first and then add on other sounds? I want to turn off all other extraneous controls and gradually start building. Any ideas?

Pursuit of Tones by Andy Gurley
should cover a lot of what you seek

You've got the right idea - you want to enable a single unit at a time and experiment with the sound. They don't describe how to do that in the owner's manual?

OK, looking on the internet, the BCB6 is just a box for the pedals. Each pedal you have in there should have a way of bypassing it. So you need to put every pedal in bypass mode and only enable the one you want to experiment with.
