Marshall Class 5 vs. Fender Blues Junior

Right now I have a Peavey Solid State Amp that isn't getting the bluesy classic rock tone I want. I like the fender Blues Junior and the thing I like the most about it i that is you can get a cool overdrive at low volumes. Perfect for playing in the bedroom and to not disturb the neighbors. However I like the Marshall tone a little more. I would get the marshall, but my only concern is that in order to get that overdriven sound on the marshall I'll have to turn it up to loud for my bedroom. Also tell me how they react to pedals.
