Haven't been here in quite a while. Got a billion things on my plate lately.
I was messing around with The Steve Vai tune, Bad Horsie.

I didn't have time to create the drum track so I used a backing track.
Saved me a bunch of time. ;D

Check it out and let me know how the volume levels are.
Thanks.

SICK tone you got there! WOW! Did you do a drop tuning?

Ya, the level of the gtr is a tat on the high side for most folks, but I love it!.

Hey RGX,
Long time no talk. :)

Two guitars and sounds going on there.

The B guitar is an older parts pile strat I had laying around. I filed the nut out and loaded a .060 low string and tuned that down to B. The other strings are EADGB and are 48 through 14 ga

So it's now a low BEADGB guitar, and it has balls for days.

I run through my stereo tube pre amp and then I have a few presets in Guitar rig that sound good for that dropped tone. I eq'd 150hz and lower out of the dropped guitar cause the bass and kick drum are handling that. The low B guitar is the background chunk sound going on.

The Ibanez JS1200CA is doing all the other stuff.

Thanks for the comments, I am going to do a re-mix in a few days and I'll check back.

Thanks for the breakdown of your setup - learn something new everyday :)

The JS gtr you have has a floating tremolo right? so do you have more than one? I mean, one set up for the B tuning and the other in standard? Because balancing the tremolo with different guages is really difficult and time consuming.

I've also PM you so as not to 'jam up' this thread :)

Hear from you soon !

The Ibanez JS Satch model has their nice floating bridge.
Here's a link to the Ibanez site for more info on the bridge.
http://www.ibanez.com/eg/guitar.aspx?m=JS1200

The JS is tuned regular 440, I don't detune/change any of my guitars. It's a major pain to re-adjust a floating trem guitar.

The B guitar is set up as a B guitar and stays that way all the time. I don't use the trem on that guitar any more. I have the bridge locked down tight against the body with 5 springs.

I have some pics of some of my stuff here.

I wish I could agree with you on that. :p

I don't play enough to be able to pull off the stuff I hear in my head.

I'll play a bunch for a week or so and then hardly touch the guitar for two weeks while I mess with other hobbies.
I end up forgeting half the stuff I learned and my finger muscle memory has forgot how to move. :D

Then I start that cylcle all over again.

Okey, dokey, girls and boys.
I played with the levels on all the tracks and made another mix

Same link as the original, I just copied over it on the server.

I still want to correct some of the off time things here and there when I get some time, but see how the levels are in this mix first if you will.

Thanks all

The audio levels seemed fine to me. I played it through my Altec Lansing Surround sound with bass cube hooked up to my computer. By the way nice effect auto panning some of the guitar from left to right and right to left speakers. I have always liked that effect but I always seem to forget about it while I am doing my own mixes. Like that heavy Riff you have going also. Great guitar all the way around. Also I have a guitar exactly like your Bastard 2 guitar only mine has 2 dual humbuckers. I took the white pickguard off mine and put that same pickguard on my black strat like yours has and I put in a pair of Dimarzio D Activator pickups in it. Yours is the only other one I have seen so far with that same color scheme.
