I bought Ultimate Santana this week.
it's the first time i've heard him play with guests, including: Jennifer Lopes and Tina Turner.
It's the best I've ever heard him play.
Definetly worth a listen.

Yeh he did an album like that a few years back.. "Supernatural" was the title of the album.. it's the one where he did that chart-stopper "Leave Your Lights On".

Yes I liked the ' Supernatural ' CD.
Both of the Cd's have the track ' Smooth '.
A minor blues scale sounds brilliant played over 'Smooth '.

That's because the song is in the key of C Major, so the natural minor is A (A Aeolian). You can play any mode based on C Major and it will sound good.. just in different ways.. Try giving E Phrygian a twirl.. The Phrygian mode is kinda spanish sounding so it should fit perfectly with a Santana song.
