i saw SRV stage gear at guitargeek.com and i saw two tubescreamer line up.
in doing so wont your sound turn muddy. or only 2 distortion peds will cause the muddy sound

Not at all. You could have 10 distortions and if they are set up right you can get any sound. A Tubescreamer is not so much a distortion as it is an overdrive. It adds more punch and tightness to your sound not so much the type of distortion that comes from say most combo amps.

Also, he might not necessarily be using both at once. He could have two just for the differences in sound each one gives.

There are two kinds of distortion, harmonic (the good type) and intra-modular (the bad type) distortion.

Having lots of distortion overdrive pedals in front of an overdriven amp usually sounds horrible as it generates intra-modular distortion.

However as with all things, if you find a sound you like, go with it !!

Same, I use the drive and more drive on my amp as well as a Tubescreamer set up as an overdrive for solos or anything else that I might need.

I do this all the time with my Classic 50. I throw on an MXR ZW-44 overdrive infront of the dirty channel to tighten it up a bit and to give it some more grit. I've also ran that pedal infront of a metal zone to do the same thing with great results.
