Metallica - Sandman (or enter the sandman, or whatever, I always forget the name)
a bunch of red hot chili peppers riffs
and just about any kind of solo that fits really well with the emotion of the song

I do know what you mean! haha... I love the riff to "Slither" by Velvet Revolver... that song is probably the best rock song to come out in the past few years. Some others...
