Sample of my music ETHEREAL
ALL MY MUSIC SOUNDS BEST...WITH SOME GOOD PHONES, AND PLAYED REALLY LOUD!!!!!!!!!

Try POWER DVD or a real piece of software.
WMP, Realplayer, and those little things kill...recordings...muffle them..take away the stereo field.

i dont seem to be able to isolate the problem - its a plain simple mp3 - rightclick on the link and "save target as" if it doesnt work by normally clicking on it

the link worked fine for me

it is tighter and faster than I'll ever be however it is not really my thing !!
You have done a good job but I have this problem with both Shostakovich and Steve Via, if I can't hum it ...... !

I know my taste is just too pedestrian !

I left-clicked on it and it opened up in a new window and is playing just fine via (I assume) the Quicktime plugin.

And I'm using Firefox.

I don't know what problems people are having, but I would guess that it has to do with their helper applications.

EDIT:
Not the sort of thing I normally listen to, but it sounds pretty good. I imagine it sounding much better when you have the "lead" part mixed up in comparison to the backing track.

Philistine!

Haha, anyhow, I rather enjoyed that. I, too, Doc, have a similar disposition to some of those composers that can't be hummed, but as the list of composers I dislike for that reason is merely Paganini, I can't complain but so much.

So let's see...I like the melody, doesn't remind me of Paganini...Did you switch keys there? Around 36 seconds?

Worked now...listening.

Pretty cool...though I don't fully care for the tone on the guitar.
Sounds good...just not my tone. (That's a personal thing anyway.)
Bit too "newwwwww...euuuwwww" hollow round sounding sounding.
Just a preference though.

Not a bad little jam man. :)

Though....would like to hear a bit more variety in the leads in
the background.

The panning was kind of cool...and well done...

Nice little arpeggio snip in there.

Good playing man. Keep at it and you might get there.

Whereever "there" is.

Good stuff. ;)

Now that I'm listening to this again, you sound like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and Michael Romeo all at once...the intro sounds like Satriani, 34-46 sounds like Vai, and the rest sounds like Satch and Romeo. This is great stuff, man.

hmm... I feel like the Archduke complaining to Mozart (and about as qualified)...

"Too many notes!" I like the tone, and the use of a harmonizer fills it out nicely, but I find the style much too 'busy' to spend much time listening to it.

But then I hold that SRV overplayed a lot, and he was just starting to settle into being a good blues player at the time of his death.

I go now...

That's not an argument - it's an opinion. I don't see any point in getting into a "He was - No he wasn't." kinda thing.
