"soo much of these songs are so inaccurate in many ways"

And the point of this is ???

If you can be a little more SPECIFIC we will try to resolve the alleged problem.

There is a lot of material posted by random people on this site however the stuff from the instructors is, in the most case excellent.

To say that non-instructor tab doesn't match the mp3 is a bit of a misnomer as the non-instructor MP3 files are currently off-line until they can be reviewed and edited. But, my feeling is that, as you are not a High bandwidth member, you wouldn't know that and your motivations are less than constructive.

However as someone who doesn't have access to 99% of the material on this site I am really wondering:

1) what your point is

2) what you are referring to

and

3) how you have come to that conclusion when so much of this site is out of your reach.

Would you care to enlighten me ?

Besides maybe you should look at your own efforts before randomly and non-specifically criticizing those of others !

Dude there are about 6 000 (non instructor) lessons from random people.

Some are good and some are crap. However which are which ?

Have you any idea how long it takes to sift through 6000 tricks ?

It is not an afternoon job !

However there still some 1750+ lessons from 40 GT instructors and that is not bad !

I didn't think you were, sorry if I came across as being a bit sharp.

There is just a lot of work to do.

I have spent every spare minuet of the last two or three months working my ass off making: lessons, MP3s videos , jam tracks, reformatting tab etc etc to bring my little corner of GT up to speed with the new site. Not to mention the umpteen billion bucks that were needed to get my videos out in the first place !

As you can imagine I am a little sensitive to unfounded criticism at the moment !

Also editing other people's lessons sucks !

I totally second that. Without you all, there'd be no guitartricks.

Doc you really know how to make us guys tremble in pure fear mate, noticed how many replies you got to that.....personally I think the sites is cool, the instructors are always spot on with their advice, and not only do they provide TERRIFIC lessons and contibute around 80% of material on this site, which in itself makes this site one of the best, ok Doc possibly the best, but the instructors also help by private messages to any qusetions you have, and have you noticed how, if they don`t have the answer, they point you in the right direction.....top notch guys.......we (the users) have started a bit of a whip round to buy you all a square orange for Christmas.

Right now I`m off to attempt Freebird for the 100th time........

Cheers mate, thanks for the kind words, they are always appreciated !

Their is a jam track ( in the Jam section.. surprise eh !) called "big ending" in the "rock" section that is defiantly nothing like the end bit of free bird. Don't know if this will help but it may be useful if you want to practice the big solo bit !

I still have some work to do on the videos however they are getting there slowly but surly as I can now work with DV rather than horrible MPEG. It means re-doing some of the vids but that is not a big deal as I have also learnt how to make writing and explanatory notes appear !

Glad you like the site !!

And as ever if you have any questions, just ask !!!

Thanx for the pointer Doc, I`ve actually got the solo timed quite nicely with the jam track, have you seen the price some fools are charging for backing tracks....$5 and you get a damn sight more....thanx again GT folks.
