Is there a simple way to make a neck/headstock heavy guitar a little more balanced? I have a Schecter C1 Blackjack that I really enjoy, but it's just not balaced like I like. Any ideas?

Isn't that supposed to fit onto the peghead? That's not where I need the weight. I need more weight on the body end. When I don't put my hands on the guitar when strapped on, the peghead want's to go towards the ground.

"Wot also balances out a peghead?"
"Lead! Lead!"
"Churches!"
"Great Gravy!"
"Very small rocks?"

... and that's all I have to say about that.

There are a couple of non-factory screw holes in the back of one of my guitars, from my attampts to shift the balance. It didn't work. There's a very good reason for the longer upper horn on a Strat.
What I ended up doing was getting a wide, coarsely-woven cloth strap. Unless I'm wearing a shirt made of something slippery, the friction is usually enough to keep the guitar neck up where it should be. Suede leather would probably work, too, but I wanted something washable. A sweaty leather strap is not a nice thing to have lurking under your nose. And having to hold your guitar up with your fretting hand is not good for your technique!

What the hells a Gadda-Da-Vidda ? Is it pleasant ?
It sounds like a sort of hammock made from old knickers / braziers !
I digress !!! How about taping something heavy to the bottom of the body (mini-chrome exhausts ?). you could use this as an excuse to get really silly with stick on bits of metal !

Iron Butterfly. Here's the rock-n-roll story: A reporter asked the lead singer of Iron Butterfly what their new single was called (a 20 min. epic with an 8 min drum solo). He was totally plastered and tried saying "In the Garden of Eden", but it came out sounding like "inna-gadda-da-vida" (try it out yourself-- it's good for 2 mins. of entertainment). After he sobered up and heard the news that his new single was called "Inna Gadda Da Vida", he decided he liked it that way better than the English way and kept it. The rest, as they say is-- THUD
(large hand clamping down on my right shoulder)
"Ow right this is the Cliche Police. We're gonna have ta take ya in."

lmao, I was being serious. I've got a chrome cold air intake pipe that never fit right on my truck, so it's just laying around collecting dust.

I went with the wide cloth strap because the damn guitar weighs nearly 11 pounds! I don't think I could stand (pun intended) to add even more weight. I wanted something wide enough to reduce the sensation of having my shoulder cut off. It turned out that the cloth also reduced the tendency to slip.

The Schecter is about the same weight as my PRS which isn't very heavy. I like my 3" leather Leve straps. I have a swade leather Leve strap for my acoustic, but I hate how it tuggs my shirt this way and that. The guitar isn't so neck heavy that it's uncomfortable, just not as comfortable as my PRS
