Description
Originally written in 1939, "Hang Me, Oh Hang Me" was reinvigorated by folk icon Dave Van Ronk in 1960. It’s a classic singer-songwriter tune with a great fingerpicking pattern & an easy chord progression. This is bare bones, old school folk music; vocals & fingerpicked acoustic guitar. Very simple, mournful & world weary.
This song is played out of C major chord shapes with a capo at the 2nd fret, so harmonically we are in the key of D Major. We'll be using basic first position chords as well as barre chords.
