Root-5 Strumming

Description

In the previous tutorial you learned to separate the root note from the rest of the chord in order to create the illusion of there being a bass player in your acoustic guitar, one-man-band. However, in Country music the bass player rarely just sticks to the root note like that. Most of the time the bass player will alternate between the root note and the 5th scale degree. I'm sure you'll recognize the sound of this classic bass movement when you hear it, and in this tutorial we're going to incorporate it into your right hand strumming. This can be a bit tricky at first, but once you get it down you basically have a full one-man-country band in just your right hand.
