Description
I grew up in the 1970's listening to and learning the music of Deep Purple, Montrose, Kiss, Van Halen, ACDC. These bands were well known for their powerful, energetic, melodic take on rock music. They played, sounded (and often performed) in a way that was larger than life!
They were so successful they were able to fill whole arenas with fans at their concerts. They were known as Arena Rock bands! They wrote music specifically to sound good in those huge halls, to thousands of fans in the audience.
In this tutorial I am going to show you some of the tricks of the arena rock bands. Get your humbucker guitar, get your old crunchy tube amp tone, get your black concert t-shirt. It's time for arena riff rocking.
