Description
A crucial cornerstone in the classic Country sound is the pedal steel guitar. This is a whole different instrument to play, but in this tutorial we'll look at some simple ways to emulate the sound of a pedal steel guitar on our regular electric guitar. This is an incredibly powerful sound, but it does require some decent bending technique.
But even if you struggle with the bending here at first, I hope these sounds will provide the inspiration you need to really get in there and work on your bending technique. Ultimately these tools can be used for both rhythm and lead playing, but here in the beginning we'll keep it really simple and just use them as cool substitutions for the basic chords. Let's get to it!
