Description

The acoustic guitar provides the backbone of the tune, with some steady strumming and extended chords. The main riff is based off a chord shape used to play an Emaj7 chord. We move the chord shape down two frets, and with the open strings, it creates an F#m11/E. The riff itself was created by moving a shape up and down the neck, and discovering that it sounds good!

The second half of the chord progression switches to a descending progression, with a chord change every bar. Note the first time through, the 3rd chord is an F#m chord, while the second time through it's a C# chord. This facilitates a variation in the melody, keeping things interesting.

The intro takes the main riff from the verses, and adds an Asus2 onto it, while the outro just cycles on the main riff throughout the fadeout.

This is a soft rock/pop song, so keep your strumming touch light and relaxed, complimenting the laid back feel of the song.
