Now the you know the boom chick strumming patterns for the primary chords in the key of A, also known as the 1, 4, and 5 chords in the Nashville number system. It's time to put them together now, and use them in a progression.

We will play 1 measure in the A chord, 1 measure in the D chord, 1 measure in the E chord, and then 1 more measure in the A chord.

Now you are on your way to becoming a rhythm guitar player, rhythm is one of the most important parts of music. Next time you're listening to the radio, listen closely and you will hear a variation of boom chick rhythm.
