I am a brand new beginner to guitar and I have been playing for like a week. I like it a lot, but my left hand hurts and it seems impossible to make my hand have good posture on chords like simple A Minor. I couldn't figure out how to upload the picture I took, but basically my first finger and second are really far apart, like the same distance as if you were to do the peace sign, and my first finger lays closer to parallell with the neck than perpendicular like my second finger. I feel like I literally cannot get my first finger to be straight, and so my hand looks contorted and nothing like the good posture in the lessons. Is my hand just not strong enough? Bad positioning somehow? Any advice welcome.. thanks!
Good finger posture seems impossible.. help

Maybe you’ve already found what you needed in William’s video (awesome, William!).
But if it’s still giving you trouble, and you can manage a photo, I might be able to offer help. I would need to see what is happening with your hand and finger positions.
