I've been going to an online chat that has voice support. It's way better than yahoo and all other voice capable program.

There's a lot of great guitar player that goes there a on a daily basis. Most of the time we kinda jam one after another, it's a great way to learn and make contacts.

Here's the info.

Go to http://www.livve.com and install the chat client, once you have your account it's like using yahoo or msn. Go into the lobbies and select the On stage lobby, you should find a room called MUSICIAN BALL. That's where we hang out.

I'm there almost everynight at 9:30 till 11:30 eastern time.

My online name is "bnadeau" as in Benoit Nadeau :) not original but people can find me easely. When creating your account it's going to ask you who refered you. If you can put my name, if not it's ok.

Once in the Musician Ball, try to find the following people : PrimeMover, Daywalker, an80sguitarist, guru_and_dark, and guitarguru777. These are the guys that kinda moderate the room and they are very cool people. Tell them you heard this from me and they'll introduce you to the room and show you around. This room as rules mostly based on respect of other guitarist. Some of the guys are beginners and have the guts to take the mic and show us their improvments, it's important to respect the players regardless of their skill level. That's the fun of it, having to guts to put yourself out there. Also no racist comments or allowed, we are all guitarist or musicians period :) music as no color.

We are trying to build a community so we can learn from one another.
