I got these d adarios cheap of flea bay, if they are old would they get worn out? they do not seem as bright as I am used to!

what strings would you reccomend? its a USA strat and the ibanez I have is kinda like a jackson dinky

Also, I find sliding on coated strings much smoother than uncoated. I know this doesn't exactly speak to your question, but it's another possible way to go.
