Wes Montgomery Style: Intro

Previous Lesson
Next Lesson

In this tutorial I'll be teaching some elements in the style of Wes Montgomery. One technique he was famous for was using his thumb to play single notes, octaves and chords. I'll play a short example for you in the key of Gm.

Even if you are not a jazz player, this technique is useful for expression in soloing.
