Even in the early days of the genre, there was a lot of overlap between Country Music and other styles like Blues and Rock'n Roll music. This particularly comes to light in many of the classic electric guitar parts used, and in this tutorial we'll explore a prime example of just that. This comes down to a very basic boogie sounding riff that we briefly touched on in level 1.

This riff can be used in a ton of different ways and in this tutorial we'll explore it in the context of the classic groove called a “Country Shuffle”. There are a million ways to embellish this riff as well, and we'll come back to that later on in this chapter.
