All you will need to play this song is an electric guitar, and an amp. Today I am playing my Strat set to the bridge pick-up. I am using .009 gauge strings and a Dunlop 1.14 mm nylon pick. I am playing though an RMC Wah-wah pedal into a Boss GS-10 desktop amp simulator: simulating a vintage tube amp with high gain and a slight Uni-vibe effect. There's is a lot of discussion on line about how Clapton got his unique tone on this song. The GS-10 offers some very practical tone controls and effects in a compact and portable unit!
