If your amp doesn't have a master volume, or you don't like the particular sound you get from that (which is actually the case for me, with this super reverb) you can use an overdrive pedal instead. In this lesson I'll show you a very basic example of an overdrive pedal and how to use it in a country context.

I hope this tutorial has given you a good idea of how to go about dialing a nice country tone on any amp you encounter. I can't stress enough that it's important not to think you have to acquire any new gear, until you've completely maxed out the gear you have. No gear in the world can make up for missing practice time. It's ultimately all in the fingers, and the gear just helps enable that to shine. It never works the other way! But that being said it's very good to know how all of this stuff works, so you can dial up the best possible tone on whatever gear you may have. Have fun with it!
