Once again I'm going to use my Martin style steel-string acoustic, and I'm getting the sound that you hear in this video from a combination of my built-in L.R. Baggs pickup/microphone and the overhead microphone that I'm also talking through. Most of the examples will be played without a capo, so don't stress if you don't already have one. But please remember that in this acoustic context, a capo is the best way use the same vocabulary in different keys, and in general it's a super useful and highly affordable thing to have around.
