For this tutorial I'll be using the same basic electric country tone again, coming from my Fender Telecaster on the bridge pickup going straight into a modeled version of a small Fender tube amp with a little bit of reverb. We'll be dipping our toes into the ocean of lead guitar in this tutorial, but you can still play everything with the same tone and volume as you would use for the rhythm parts. Eventually if you play with a loud band and need to really cut through for a solo or a lead part, it can sometimes be useful to have a pedal that boosts your overall volume, but that's by no means necessary here in the beginning.
