Once again, for this tutorial you just need a guitar with 6 strings and a pick. As always, I'll be using a steel-string acoustic, but you can use any kind of guitar to learn the material and then you can always upgrade or change your gear down the line. But one thing that can be extremely handy to have is an electronic tuner. As you can see, I'm using this little clip-on headstock tuner. It picks up the vibrations of the instrument so you can tune even when there's a lot of noise around you. There are many different brands of these headstock tuners, and you can get them for as little as 10-20 dollars. Alternatively you can get a regular tuner with a microphone in that same price range, but they do require a lot more silence around you, for them to work alright. Alternatively you can find free tuners online that just play the correct pitch of each strings, so you can match it.
