Now that you know some open cowboy chords as well as some basic right hand work, it's time to take your country-strumming one step further by separating the main bass note from the rest of the chord. This will strengthen that rhythmic element we explored in the first tutorial with the so-called "down beats" and "back beats", but it also creates the illusion of there being a bass player in your one-man-band. This technique requires quite a bit of right hand precision, but we'll take it nice and slow- one chord at a time! Let's get started.
