GUITAR: Any guitar with a humbucking pickup in the bridge position will be ideal here. The humbucker gives you plenty of clarity and power when using a modern hi-gain type amp.

AMP: Any Modern Hi-Gain tube amplifier is a great choice here. Dial in plenty of crunch, but not too much that it becomes fuzzy.
Check out the settings I used for this tutorial:

Modern Hi-Gain model: Drive: 70% Bass: 45% Mid: 75% Treble: 60% Presence: 65%

Delay (bridge pick slide): Time: 387 ms Feedback: 45% Wet/DryMIX: 45%

Tune your guitar down one full step, then the low E string one more step (low to hi: C G C F A D). I also recommend re-stringing your guitar with heavier gauge strings to avoid any tuning issues.
