When you want to master the guitar, you need two basic things: good ideas and the technique to execute them! So far we've been working a lot on your ideas; mastering licks and concepts and improvising with them, but now it's time to work a bit on the technical side of things.

Good technique doesn't necessarily mean the ability to play fast. All it means is that you have a solid and reliable way to execute your ideas and make them sound as good as possible, without hurting yourself in the long run. Even the most basic cowboy-strumming on an acoustic guitar requires good right and left hand technique, and it doesn't always come easy.

So in this tutorial I'll show you some ways to improve and practice your overall technique. In doing so you often open new doors creatively; so even though this is kind of a workout video, it will benefit you both creatively and musically.
