Most of us have heard this chord progression used at one time or another. It has a "surfy" feel to it and in fact was used in some surf songs from the early 60's. There have also been other "non-surf" rock songs recorded using this (or very similar) chord progression. Although I chose C minor, you can use any key you'd like.
